Jerry Blake and LOH Outfitters made my very first hunting trip in honor of my late father one of the best weeks I have ever had in my life! Jerry and LOH Outfitters took such good care of me from start to finish. Jerry was always available and helped prepare me before the hunt even began. He provided comfortable accommodations, paired me with an extremely knowledgeable guide, fed me fabulous food, provided many opportunities for elk, packed out my trophy elk, and continued to answer my many questions. I cannot wait to go back and hunt with them again!
My son and I went on a youth muzzleloader elk hunt with LOH outfitters in October. We had a great time with guide Bryan, spotter Ryan and a great crew. Good challenging hunt and Parker got a fantastic bull on day 4. Angel was a superb cook and the whole crew very accommodating.
I had a once in a lifetime hunt with LOH Outfitters this fall. I shot a beautiful 7 x 8 bull elk with Jerry and my guide Brendan on the first day! The accommodations were outstanding. Jerry and his staff were extremely professional and organized. I have hunted with many other outfitters and LOH was by far the best because they have the experience and knowledge unlike other outfitters. If you want to shoot a big bull elk or any other kind of the many species they hunt/guide in New Mexico you won’t go wrong with LOH outfitters. We have already booked a hunt for next year!

Epic experience. I’ve hunted elk for forty years and taken a dozen bulls and my archery hunt in NM34 with LOH and guide Braxton was the best elk hunt of my life. I would go beyond highly recommending them and say if you draw or buy an LO tag in the NM units they hunt you would be crazy not to tap into their knowledge and skill base. They define what it means to be a professional outfitter from start to finish and focus on the most important aspect of successful big game hunting: researching and establishing a presence where the best opportunities are, doing the boots on the ground scouting and hiring guides who know how locate animals, avoid pressure and execute with a variety of clients. They live by their motto, so if the love of the hunt drives you, the Love of the Hunt should probably be your outfitter.
We did a father son hunt with LOH and had a great time. Saw elk every day. Had great guides that knew the area and how to hunt. It was my son’s first elk hunt and he needed more experience to be successful but the guide never stopped working. I was able to connect on a 5x5 the last day of the hunt. Great food and comfortable accommodations

This past season of 2021 was my first hunt with LOH outfitters. I’ve hunted elk for 35 years spending time with various outfitters. LOH outfitters has been by far my best and favorite hunting experience. Both the outfitters and guides were very professional and did everything they could to make my hunt an exceptional experience. All of the accommodations were top notch. I can’t wait for my next hunt with LOH outfitters.
My hunt with LOH Outfitters was memorable and successful in so many ways. Jerry and his entire outfit are true professionals. We hunted hard every day of my 5 day season, which culminated in harvesting a very nice Bull on the final morning. We saw mature Bulls every day but sometimes the Hunting Gods just don’t make it easy! Even when the Elk didn’t move in the right direction, just watching them interact in their environment was spectacular. This area of New Mexico is a special place and I will be back again with Jerry and LOH.
LOH Outfitters is New Mexico’s finest big game outfitter. I had the pleasure of hunting elk with Jerry and his incredible guides. It was my first opportunity to use one of his Best of the West muzzleloaders and it could not have been a better experience. My first shot barely an hour after opening morning was dead on at 395 yards. What an incredible day. LoH has top notch accommodations, amazing food, and incredible people. I’m putting in for the draw in 2022 for sure and hope to make another trip very soon.
